Senior UX/UI Designer, 3 months in Malm? remote allowed

Background

In the preowned team, we are building a new offer to connect buyers and sellers of secondhand furniture. We are currently live with our offer in a couple of countries, and we are scaling fast. To enable the speed needed and the growing complexity of our platform we are looking to expand with an additional UX/UI product designer. The focus will be to work closely with another UX/UI designer, and the rest of the product team, to define a new iteration of the platform, designing the UX flows from high level architecture to detailed component design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product team to define and design the end-to-end solution for the C2C marketplace.
• Work closely with another Senior Product Designer to ensure consistency and alignment across all design deliverables.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and implementation quality.
• Collaborate with researchers to conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate on designs to continuously improve the user experience.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles while balancing business goals and technical constraints.
• Participate in user research activities to inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience.
• Apply our client's design system, Skapa, customizing it as needed to ensure consistency and scalability across the platform while being open to expanding and evolving the system as the platform grows.s

Requirements:

• Platform design experience: You have a proven track record of designing for complex platforms, ideally with experience in C2C marketplace , e-commerce, or similar industries where user experience is crucial.
• Flexibility in design approach: You're comfortable oscillating between high-concept design and the detailed finesse of pixel-perfect execution. You know how to strike the right balance depending on the project phase and audience.
• Experience working in Figma
• Proactive problem-solver: You’re able to independently identify design challenges and propose thoughtful, user-centric solutions that drive both product and business success.
• Working with SKAPA, a big retail design system
• Working with launching a new offer alongside a larger organizations core offer.
• Attention to detail: You bring rigor to your work, ensuring that every aspect of the design—from user flows to individual UI elements—feels intentional and thoughtfully crafted.
• User empathy: You have a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, and you are constantly advocating for the end user while balancing business needs.
