Assignment description

We are looking for an experienced Scala developer who is used to working with event-driven systems and who has knowledge of technologies such as elasticsearch and Cassandra.The role includes a great focus on improving and optimizing existing systems to meet increasing users and performance requirements.Our customer's office is located in Lund, with the opportunity to work remotely from other places in Sweden.

Main responsibilities:

As a Scala developer, you will work on developing and optimizing systems to meet increasing demands on performance and capacity.A central part of your work will be to manage customers migration to ensure that the system can withstand the increased load.You will also perform load tests and implement load balancing to ensure efficiency.To improve the performance of the system, you will optimize code and restructure data models, as well as implement a migration from elastic to SQL-based databases.In addition, you will contribute to the creation of a scalable and robust platform that can face future challenges.

Mandatory qualifications:

• Solid experience in Scala development.
• Experience in conducting load tests and working with performance optimization.

Meritative qualifications:

• Knowledge in event -driven architecture and experience with RabbitMQ.
• Experience of devops-related technologies such as AWS/Cloud, TerraForm, Cloud formation or Openstack.
• Experience in working with elasticsearch and Cassandra for data management.
• Knowledge of building and maintaining pipelines and working with infrastructure as a code.
• Ability to contribute to platform architecture and drive development forward.
• Swedish language skills and proximity to Lund are seen as an advantage, but distance work is possible.

Personal qualities:

• Ability to work independently and in teams to find solutions to problems related to high loads.
