IT Security Specialist

Assignment Description

We are seeking a IT Security Specialist with proven expertise in designing and maintaining secure, complex IT infrastructures. You will work within an agile team, securing both on-premises and AWS-based environments while ensuring robust integrations across interconnected systems.

Your role involves providing security recommendations, implementing solutions, and driving continuous improvement through automation and modernization efforts. Acting as the key interface to the central IT Security team, you will translate requirements into practical, compliant actions and implement security measures as needed. You will be part of the Platform Services unit, supporting development teams with tools and processes for build pipelines, QA, AWS platform management, and release workflows. Success in this role requires strong initiative, adaptability, and the ability to navigate large organizations within an agile setting.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong background in IT security, with several years of practical experience
• Expertise in securing both Windows and Linux systems through effective system hardening
• Demonstrated ability to design IT systems with security as a core principle
• Experience applying security frameworks for software development, such as the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL)
• Knowledge of security-focused infrastructure components, including firewalls
• Advanced proficiency in designing and implementing secure network architectures and segmentation
• Familiarity with integrating security practices into build pipelines and associated tools
• Hands-on experience deploying and overseeing vulnerability management, static/dynamic code analysis, and other security solutions in CI/CD workflows
• Solid understanding of industry-recognized IT security frameworks, such as ISO 27000
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and related container technologies

In addition to the core requirements, it is advantageous to have experience with GitHub, including GitHub Actions, as well as advanced knowledge of both Windows and Linux systems. A background in software development would also be beneficial, along with strong expertise in network architecture, including firewalls, routers, and load balancers. Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Perl, or Python, is a plus. Finally, understanding agile methodologies, especially Scrum and SAFe, will further support success in this role.
