RFI-BI consultant with a focus on Microsoft Power BI

RFI – BI Consultant specializing in Microsoft Power BI

Background
The Competence Supply Office (KOFK) in Norrköping Municipality is responsible for issues related to unemployment, financial assistance, and adult education. Norrköping's adult education offers support throughout the student's journey, from career and education counseling to completed education. The activities are for those who want to complete their primary or secondary education, acquire basic knowledge of the Swedish language, as well as for adults with intellectual disabilities or acquired brain injury. Furthermore, courses equivalent to high school education and the Logistics Program as a Vocational College are also offered.

KOFK wishes to use Adda's framework agreement "IT consulting services 2021" to call off a BI consultant (system developer) to work on developing office-specific reports and statistics in the new BI system, Power BI, which will replace the current BI system WebFOCUS from Information Builders. The data sources are different business systems such as Vux, Viva, and the recently procured system Alvis from GotitAB. The consultant's work with Power BI will be done in close collaboration with the municipality's Department for Digitalization and IT (DigIT) and its BI team consisting of approximately 6 people.

The consultant will translate KOFK's monitoring and reporting requirements into data models and Power BI reports, based on provided data. The consultant is the recipient of KOFK's requirements and is the one setting requirements for the BI team, and therefore needs to understand the data in the business systems. The municipality's BI team is responsible for financial data and uploading data from Viva, Vux/Alvis to the municipality's data warehouse in Microsoft Fabric. The assignment covers the period of September-December 2024 (full-time).
