Background

This role is situated in the 'Instore Analytics' capability area, which is part of the 'Co-Worker Operational Tools' subdomain within the 'Physical Meeting Points' domain of the 'Omni Meeting Points' area in Digital. Here, we develop data-driven in-house solutions built on GCP.

Role: We are seeking a full-stack engineer with a background in data. In this role, the consultant will collaborate with a compact team of Engineers to maintain, support, enhance, and expand our visitor counter solution.

Timing: Need to work within the CET time zone from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional flexibility.
Duration: The initial term is until August 31, 2025, with the potential for further extension contingent on performance and business requirements.
Location: Malmö. Option for remote work. No Travel required. No international mobility required.

The scope of the consultant services is to assist in:

Collaborate with engineers to provide support, upkeep, and improvements for the visitor counter system from start to finish.

• Ownership encompasses all development activities, including deployment, release management, security, and privacy.
• Enhance the product by driving innovation and implementing automation.
• Plan, track, and document work primarily using Jira, GitHub, and Confluence.
• Adhere to the development guidelines, best practices, and architectural recommendations.
• Support user requests in Jira service desk and NowIT
• Support engineers in managing data activities
• Managing technical debt is crucial, and it involves continuously improving the codebase.

Requirements:

Comprehensive understanding of Google Cloud Platform across all facets of cloud development.

• GCP stack: Kubernetes, cloud run, cloud functions, cloud scheduler, dataflow, firestore, big query, dataflow, data form
• Languages: JavaScript, Python, React
• Good understanding of SQL, Big Query and databases
• Hands-on knowledge of REST API
• Good understanding of visualization tools like Power BI & Looker Studio
• Knowledge of Axis cameras and their API's will be helpful

The three most important:

• The ability to independently work & own the tasks within software stack, encompassing both frontend and backend, complemented by a background in data.
• Proficient in GCP components
• Can assume end-to-end ownership of the application with a DevOps mindset and collaborate effectively with the engineers.
